It has been a while since our last post so I, Rhodri Emlyn Lewis, thought I’d give this whole “writing a blog” thing a go. How difficult could it be??
This year I have been fortunate enough to spend 10 weeks in the UK working on a project with my family. Theresa, however, stayed in the 'Gong for the most part to hold down the RVR fort. I'm happy to report that Theresa didn't manage to destroy or burn anything down without her trusted Leader and Manager around to supervise.
While it wasn’t easy being away from Theresa (the constant please come-back phone calls became very tiring...), I thoroughly enjoyed my time at home not least because I:
Completed the renovation of a house that my family and I have now converted into a holiday rental;
Bathed in the glory of the great British heatwave of 2018;
More importantly, got the opportunity to watch the World Cup at a decent time instead of waking up at ungodly hours.
We did also squeeze a cheeky trip to NZ in at the start of February to do a lot of walking, even more driving and even, even more drinking (safely of course!).
In a professional capacity, in the first half of this year we had the opportunity to work on a number of different weddings and events and, with spring on the horizon, we are looking forward to the wedding season picking up again. Theresa has also qualified as a celebrant, meaning that she can marry some very lucky people across ’Straya, or probably more specifically, Sydney, Wollongong and the South Coast.
Over the next few months we have some very special events that we are delighted to be a part of and are looking forward to sharing some new memories with friends, family and clients.
Plus the Football starts again next week, so that’ll certainly keep me entertained.
Cheers for now,
